COASTAL WETLANDS

LIVING DOÑANA this fascinating tour dedicated to lovers of waders, general marine and aquatic birds.

South-Atlantic Arc, from the Ria Formosa to Doñana, is geologically characterized by two typical formations such as the spits and marismeños wetlands, they are caused due to the effect of the mouth of large rivers whose currents are more slow to contact with the ocean, leading to these particular ecosystems.

These coastal wetlands are an essential habitat as resting and feeding places for many waterbirds both wintering and migration routes and is particularly important as breeding sites for large numbers of wetland birds linked to; conforming and Sanctuaries Ornithological true that will delight the most expert birders.

Day 2: P.N. Ria Formosa – R. N. Sapal de Castro Marim – Olhão.

Day 3: Isla Cristina Marshes – Marshes Rio Piedra – Laguna del Portil – El Portil.

Day 4: Odiel Marshes – Lagunas de Palos and Las Madres – El Rocio.

Day 5: Dehesa de Abajo – Green Corridor – El Rocio

Day 6: P. N. Doñana – The Rocina.

Day 7: Faro Airport.
